I finished, what started out as a tee shirt tote bag, is now a hobo bag! It’s adorable and I will be creating a little photo collage to show the before and after! I have been sewing since I woke up this morning, didn’t get to sleep last night until 1am, because I was sewing!
Now I am pleasantly exhausted and getting ready to get some sleep, I feel accomplished tonight, grateful, heart filling up!
For whatever reason I thought I needed permission to be creative, so weird? I’m over all my outdated programming in my head from time periods that don’t even exist anymore.
I enjoy feeling excited about waking up to be creative all day. We’re heading out for a couple of days, so perfect time to take a sewing break. It’s a perfect time to take a pause from all the new things I’m learning here, sewing, guitar practice, and cooking healthy meals.
Since were going to be on the road for a couple of days, I’m going to use that time to play around with some photography, and photo editing. I’m hoping to have my photo collage done before the weekends over, crossing my fingers!
Update 6/24/2025: Before photos starting from top down, baby tee shirt, TX adult tee shirt, and homemade kids apron.

Update 6/24/2025: After photos, started out as a cut out tee shirt bag. I took off from there, cut the TX tee shirt into the shape I liked.

Wanted a lining so I used the bottom half of the kids apron for that. The top of the kids apron became a pocket, plus the baby tee shirt an additional pocket. I created braids by using left over tee shirt fabric. I do not have a sewing machine so everything was sewn by hand, loved every minute!

I have a lot to learn about taking accessory photos, but tried to capture the inside lining in the picture below. In the above photo on the right hand side I used some additional fabric to line that pocket as well.

I created the knots by cutting strips along the bottom of the tee shirt and the lining (bottom of kids apron) together, it helped secure the lining in place and created a fun colorful effect that I enjoy. The bag closes by drawstring at the top using more left over tee shirt fabric, This project was so much fun, and I learned so much!!
