This world we live in can be in a hyper speedy pace, depending on where you are in the world. Do you know when you hurry it stresses your body, mind, creating a stress response?
I use to be so proud of the fast speed I could walk, I am four feet, eleven inches, so I always felt I needed to keep up with everyone. I always felt rushed, hurried, guilt if someone had to wait for me, why? No idea? Thinking back it seems really silly to me now.
So I have worked hard to figure out my pace in life, I actually enjoy walking at a steady slow pace. I enjoy a meditative walking style, so I can enjoy my surroundings, hear my thoughts, hum a tune, walking at a steady slower pace brings me peace.
Reminding myself that this world is always tuned to hyper drive, speed, so much so it’s challenging to enjoy the moment were in. The moments of presence, awareness is where life is actually lived.
God, and my spirit team was reminding me today it’s not just about the speed in which I walk. It’s also about honoring the speed that I heal, learn, grow, and arrive at my next destined destination. Allowing myself to slow down, rest when needed, I am living life in the present moment.
It’s one more way of loving me, as I am, another boundary that honors myself. Loving yourself, is loving God, because God lives inside all of us.
