Shadow work, is all about transforming your pain into power. In the past versions of me I avoided the pain, with alcohol, pot, and the many distraction this world offers. We have endless distractions at our disposal.
Working through the pain, instead of avoiding it is where your freedom lies. If you are avoiding the pain, it ends up like a snowball effect, it starts compiling, accruing, one pain on top of the other.
That is where I found myself, facing the large laundry list of all the pain and hurts from my past when I started this journey. The pain is there for you to look at, so it can be set free, so I can be free.
Taking on all that pain, hurt, not allowing yourself to release it, is causing punishment that I was creating for myself. Throughout my shadow work, time in and time again, I have been standing in my own way, self created misery!
All that pain carries energy, which can literally make you sick, mentally, physically, and spiritually. I have been challenged with healing myself, mentally, physically, and spiritually for allowing those hurts to reside inside myself for so long.
So many people are suffering from the pain we create for ourselves. There is a way out, and it’s looking inside ourselves. Looking at our deepest darkest secrets and bringing them into the light. Once I started doing that, I was able to start taking my power back, my energy, essence.
Those deep dark secrets, have no more hold over me, the freedom that comes with the shadow work is priceless, the freedom feels amazing. The weight I have been carrying keeps getting lighter.
I am grateful God has been leading me down the path of healing, the peace, calm, that has been created from releasing what no longer serves me feels amazing.
