How I turned my negative mind into a positive mind. Most of my life I was someone who was always smiling, uplift others, laughed easily, but I was actually a toxic positive person. What I mean, is I would always present as a happy go lucky, but if I looked with in, my subconscious mind ran unsupervised saying horrible things about myself, my worst enemy, with unchecked shadows. Happy on the surface, but miserable on the inside.

So about six years ago, I started making a real effort in changing it. I wanted to feel good, be happy on the inside, not just on the surface. So my biggest change I made was night time sleep hypnosis. The best way to retrain your subconscious is when we are sleeping.

Hypnosis takes longer then one and done, after a lifetime of being in a negative mindset I had to be diligent in my reprogramming, I did that for a few years. During the day, I added positive affirmations, I know not everyone believes in those, but for me it has changed my life.

When you have been feeding yourself negative talk, positive affirmations is just one more way, learning to be my own best friend. I always say my affirmations out loud, with my hand on my heart, to feel every word as I am saying them. Feeling what I am saying is an important part of the affirmations.

When I started positive affirmations, it was like that saying, fake it until you make it. It takes time before you’re feeling your words, at least for me in my experience, and that’s okay, it’s part of the process.

Movement, exercise is an important step for me as well. Getting your body moving, gets your endorphins up, which helps with the other steps like, hypnosis, and affirmations. Shifting, and changing your energy, helps release the old thought patterns.

Those are just a few of my tools I have used to shift me from negative mindset to a positive mindset. Yes it has taken time, but I am worth it! You are worth it too! Time is going to pass anyways, why not add something that’s going to feed your soul, be your own best friend.

Loving ourselves, is to love God, and to honor him with grace.

Amen, sister. I relate to you journey. So much of what you mentioned also was/is the case for me. I huge early step for me was Kelly Howell’s Universal Mind meditation on YouTube (I listened every night for months) what about you? You have a favorite nighttime hypnosis?
