Perfectionism is actual imperfect, there is no such thing, it’s an illusion. It usually stops you taking steps in your own life. I know when I used to be stuck in that perfectionism loop (Generational Curse), I thought I needed to have all my ducks in a row before I started a project, guess what? I would find myself in freeze zone, can’t move forward, back, or side to side.
I used to have a house for of projects that were just started then left for someday in the future that never came. I had to everything right, that’s not true. Life is messy, there’s nothing you can do about that.
If you have a new idea, project that excites you, a new business perhaps, you’re going to have to love it enough to suck at it first. There’s nothing wrong with that, that’s where we learn our best and brightest lessons. It’s where we get out wisdom from, start on the path anyways!
Not allowing not having it all planned out to stop you. I used to think that life had to be perfect all the time, it kept me from moving forward towards anything. Find the joy of being beautifully imperfect, that’s where the magic is, that is where we find our character, that’s where we are living life, taking that leap of faith.
Talking to father God about this today, don’t forget to include God in your imperfect start to whatever lights you up! God will be there every step of the way, and help give you peace in mind while you go for it.
I started this blog, stumbled through starting this blog is more like it. I had no idea where it was taking me, but I chose to do it anyways! I have learned so many invaluable lessons I would have never learned if I allowed my imperfectism stop me.
This blog lead me to God, belief in myself, gained courage over time, and actually helped me get to know me and what I am capable of. It also taught me grace, and pouring love into me was the only way to strive for success. I hope you start that project, idea, or business that lights you up, we probably need it in our world. Amen!
