Well unfortunately, I didn’t make it to the next phase of the competition of The Next Runway Star, I finished 6th in my group, to advance on I needed to be first. I am grateful to everyone that supported me, and help raise funds for Rise, and organization that helps sexual assault victims like myself, a wonderful cause, together we made a difference!

I have to say making it to the Quarter finals was amazing, I had a lot of fun. Creating my profile for the competition was fun, it was challenging writing about myself, advocating for me. Plus I needed photos to post in my profile, I am fortunate I had a selfie stick that also came with a remote to take photos.

So I created my own photo shoot, at one point I thought I would take a photo while in the hammock, swinging toward the camera, I ended up falling backwards, on my bootay, it was hilarious!

I learned so much about myself being a part of the competition. Learning to use my voice, speak my truth about about my own sexual assaults. Unfortunately, I have a long history that goes back to when I was five years old, being molested by my father, I had several assaults as a teenager, and most recently in 2023 when I started dating again after my divorce.

On a lighter note I am fortunate, I learned so much on this journey, hoping to walk the runway as The Next Runway Star, to use a global stage to speak my truth. God always has sneaking ways to help build your confidence one step at a time, and I truly believe this competition helped me to see myself more clearly, I am grateful.

Just for fun, I am posting the hammock photo, where I fell on my bootay! Enjoy
